Project: developping a sensor-driven headtracking device for virtual reality and multimedia glasses
In collaboration with the Institute for micro- and information technology, the "Hahn-Schickard-Gesellschaft für angewandte Forschung e.V.", we developed a miniaturized head tracking system that integrates perfectly into the design of the Cinemize VR-glasses by Zeiss AG. Several sensor signals are combined thanks to a sensor fusion application. This orientation info guarantees a stable, noise-free application. Specially created algorithms ensure the correct transmission and processing of sensor signals. This prototype has been the basis and predecessor model of today’s VR-glasses like the Oculus Rift oder Morpheus.
